This annual banquet is the kick-off event for the UNC MLK celebration, with leaders, and community leaders for a night of fellowship, networking, and celebration of Dr. King’s legacy. We will also honor members who have echoed the voice of Dr. King in the community.

This years keynote speaker is Ambassabor James A. Joseph. Ambassador Joseph is Professor of the Practice of Public Policy Studies and Executive Directo of the United States- Southern Africa Center for Leadership and Public Values at Duke University. Nominated by President Clinton adn confirmed by the United Staes Senate in December 1995, he was the first and only American ambassador to present his credentials to President Nelson Mandela.
